What is HSDPA/HSUPA?
HSDPA (High-Speed Downlink Packet Access) is a new mobile phone protocol and is sometimes referred to as 3.5G (or 3½G) technology. HSDPA provides a seamless evolutionary path for UMTS (Universal Mobile Telecommunications System) networks that allow greater data capacity (up to 14.4 Mbit/s per cell in the downlink and 2 Mbit/s per cell in the uplink).
HSUPA (High-Speed Packet Access) is a 3G mobile telephony protocol of the HSPA family with uplink speeds of up to 5.76 Mbit/s.
