What is GSM tracking?
GSM tracking allows you to determine the position of a device using the coordinates of the GSM phone network cells to which the SIM card is hooked. The mobile radio network is composed of many adjacent radio cells, each of which has an identifier, consisting of four sets of data: a progressive number (Cell ID), a code of the area in which it is located (LAC, or Local Area Code), the code of the national network to which it belongs (MCC, an acronym for Mobile Country Code) and finally the operator code (MNC, or Mobile Network Code), which, of course, identifies the telephone operator.
For this reason, knowing the name of the cell and its coordinates, considering the distance at which the cell allows communication with the mobile phone before it hooks another one, you can know approximately at what distance the device is located.
